The Heartland Partnership and WTVP have teamed up for a 30 minute program called "We Mean Business." We brought a panel of regional leaders together to discuss the Greater Peoria Economic Scorecard. We wanted to learn what they think of the results and how they plan to use the information. The show will air May 10th at 8pm on WTVP.   

Unemployment Rates Drop Throughout Greater Peoria

The monthly unemployment rate for the Peoria MSA dropped to 7.8% in March, down from 9.0% in February.  Peoria County’s monthly unemployment rate dropped to 8.2%, the lowest the rate has been since January 2009.   The City of Peoria, City of Pekin, Tazewell County and Woodford County all saw significant drops in their unemployment rates as well.  Click here for the Peoria MSA unemployment chart or click here for the unemployment charts for Peoria County, Tazewell County, Woodford County, City of Peoria and City of Pekin.

The Peoria Area Association of Realtors® has recently released the 1st quarter sales statistics and the news is very positive for the Greater Peoria Area.
